State of the art lighting for Hangar 17
Upgrading the lighting system at one of the UK’s largest commercial and military aircraft hangars is no mean feat. Our highly experienced specialist electrical team were able to get the project off the ground and safe for landing.
Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group is a leading provider of civil, military and commercial aircraft and defence solutions. Their specialist engineering team performs aircraft maintenance, modification, upgrades and conversions for a wide range of civil and military aircraft.
In order to meet strict aviation regulations and to future proof the facility, Marshall ADG called on SSE Enterprise’s electrical team to design, install and commission a new state of the art LED lighting scheme at The Group’s Hangar 17, located at Cambridge Airport.
Working on a live site with high levels of activity and interaction meant safety was paramount to the delivery of this project.
Safety first and throughout
We worked closely with the client to ensure working areas were clearly segregated with barriers at all times, and in addition to personnel, all tools and equipment were attached to access equipment to prevent any falling objects causing harm.
Intelligent lighting systems, brilliant results
Hangar 17 now operates utilising the latest in LED technology. Not only does the new lighting system allow for total control with the use of touch screen displays, remote control can be achieved with the site’s computers, tablets and smart phones
