    Managing Director of SSE Enterprise

    Neil Kirkby joined SSE Enterprise as Managing Director at the start of January 2017. He was previously Managing Director, Global Power Networks, for Balfour Beatty plc. Before joining Balfour Beatty in 2012, Neil was Chief Executive Officer at Enterprise Ltd before a spell as a Managing Director for Serco plc. His first job was as a Police Officer in South Yorkshire. He lives in Warrington, Cheshire.

  • Kieran Gilmurray

    Director of Finance

    Kieran Gilmurray joined SSE Enterprise as Director of Finance in May 2017. He was previously Finance Director of Macdonald Hotels and Resorts and before that Group Finance Director at Kwik Fit Insurance. Kieran previously worked for Sky Television as well as Johnson & Johnson and is Glasgow born and bred.

  • Nathan Sanders

    Managing Director of SSE Enterprise Utilities

    Nathan has been Managing Director of SSE Enterprise Utilities since 2010; and has been with SSE for 30 years after originally joining as an Apprentice Electrician. He has since risen through several engineering, operational and managerial roles within SSE. Nathan is an Incorporated Engineer, and holds an MSc in Leadership. He is married with two children and lives near Sandhurst in Berkshire.

  • Raj Sinha

    Managing Director of SSE Enterprise Rail

    Raj Sinha is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the rail industry. In 2016 he became Managing Director of SSE Enterprise Rail, which has since enjoyed a prolific period of growth. He has led some of the largest corporate and private infrastructure companies in the UK rail sector and was the youngest Head of Projects at Network Rail. He graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc in Civil and Structural Engineering.

  • Stuart Chaston

    Managing Director of SSE Enterprise Contracting

    Stuart Chaston joined SSE Enterprise Contracting as Managing Director in March 2017. Having previously worked with Carillion Telent and Enterprise Ltd, Stuart has a proven track record of business transformation with experience across both the public and private sector including the Defence/MOD market (Hard FM, M&E), Highways Agency and Telecoms.

  • Phil Clements

    Director of Projects and Business Support

    Phil’s role as Director of Operations & Business Support encompasses most of our core functions; Engineering, Delivery, Asset Management, Regulation, Business Assurance, SHE and our Project Management Office.

    Phil joined SSE in 2018, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, most of that having been spent with National Grid in a range of engineering and leadership roles. He has been a Chartered Engineer with the IET for over 8 years, holds a Masters in Electrical Power Systems, and enacts the role of ‘Designated Engineer’ for electrical network activities in accordance with our Operational Safety Rules.

  • Carl Davies

    Director of Commercial

    Carl Davies joined SSE Enterprise as Director of Commercial in July 2017. He was previously Head of Commercial for Samsung Engineering Ltd. Before joining Samsung, Carl was Senior Commercial Manager for Jacobs Engineering in the Middle East working on a $12bn new build oil refinery. Carl graduated with a QS degree and has continued in this present discipline throughout his career. He lives in Abergavenny, South Wales.

  • Colin Sempill

    Managing Director of SSE Enterprise Telecoms

    As Managing Director, Colin is responsible for accelerating the very significant rate of progress achieved in recent years, including the Project Edge investment. In his previous role as Group Strategy and Transformation Director at SSE and during his time in several other senior positions within the Group, Colin has led the way as a proven leader of high growth, rapidly transforming businesses. Before SSE Colin worked for firms including Ernst & Young and Arthur Anderson.

  • Pinder Kang

    Director of Business Development

    Pinder joined SSE in June 2017 within the Telecoms business as the Interim Sector Director for the then newly formed Mobile Networks Sector before recently taking up his current role as the Director of Business Development for all SSE Enterprise. Pinder has over 15 years’ experience of securing major building and infrastructure projects both in the UK and in Qatar, including the Al Thumama Stadium for Qatar 2022 World Cup, and Heathrow Airport Terminal 5. He is married with two children and lives in Derby.
